A fine crimson to purple. The bouquet is exquisite albeit alongside its oak. I don’t know how he does it but every year this is one of the great Bonnes Mares. Overtly luxurious yet tempered by a fine grain to the fruit and the tannins, with brilliant length. Sensational, yet avoids being just sumptuous. Drink from 2030-2040.
