The 2018 Pommard 1er Cru Les Rugiens is the last time Boillot will produce this appellation, made from purchased grapes. Offering up aromas of dark berries, cassis, baking chocolate, candied peel and licorice, the wine is medium to full-bodied, muscular and chalky, with fine depth at the core, succulent acids and a long finish.'Morris
From the upper part of the vineyard – this is good clay says Henri. The wine offers a really intense purple colour, such energy, this has the perfect balance that Pommard offers in 2018 conditions. This does not have the extra dimension of luxurious fruit that can be found in the lower Rugiens, but it is a near perfect wine for the upper part.Degustation
