The 2021 Echézeaux Grand Cru has quite an intense blackberry, blood orange and slightly charry bouquet, fine definition, perhaps just missing that essence of Pinoté. The palate is medium-bodied with quite gritty tannins, fine acidity, though the oak does feel rather vocal and occludes terroir expression on the finish.Morris
From the Cruots section. Glowing purple. One day up one day down, Maxime tells me about this wine, so this must be a good day! The fruit starts buoyantly and refines towards the back. Dark red berry notes, a few tannins behind still to resolve but no doubts that this will happen. Notably persistent. Drink from 2028-2036. Tasted Nov 2022.Degustation
