Rupert Symington, ein sehr bekannter Porto-Produzent, und Bruno Prats, ein bekannter Weinmacher aus Bordeaux, gründeten Prats & Symington. Sie wählten exzellente Parzellen der Familie Symington im Douro aus und bauten einen speziellen Weinkeller, um nach den Prinzipien von Bordeaux zu vinifizieren.
Chryseia bringt das Terroir des Douro mit grösster Eleganz zum Ausdruck. Die beiden traditionellen Rebsorten des Douro, Touriga Nacional und Touriga Franca, ergeben einen Wein von grosser Finesse. Trotz der Hitze ist Chryseia ein Rotwein von grosser Frische und Eleganz.

The 2020 Post Scriptum de Chryseia is a blend of 51% Touriga Franca and 34% Touriga Nacional, with Tinta Roriz and Tinta Barroca for the rest, aged for 12 months in used French oak. It comes in at 14.5% alcohol. This adds some wood aromas and depth to the Prazo, plus a bit more of a backbone. There's some grip on the finish in a polished package that drinks decently now, but it can still improve. This is a good deal, with some upside potential. - MS 07/2022
