Derived from a parcel of Musigny planted in 2007 and still declassified for the time being, the 2021 Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru exhibits aromas of red berries, plums, orange rind, rose petals and spices. Medium to full-bodied, satiny and fleshy, with a cool core of fruit, sweet tannins and a long, mouthwatering finish, it's a strong effort. - WK 01/2023Morris
There are not many young vines available for this mini-Musigny cuvée. This comes from a planting of 0.25ha in 2007 in Grand Musigny, below the white vines. Two barrels were made. We talked about the viability of this cuvée and Jean would like to continue it. A baby Musigny nose, if you like. Seamless fruit on the palate, very silky, ripe enough but fresh enough, a light tannin or two, refined and very long. Drink from 2028-2035. Tasted: November 2022.Degustation
