Château Branaire-Ducru ist ein Grand Cru Classé in Saint-Julien, in der Nähe der Mündung der Gironde. Die Weinberge ruhen auf einem herrlichen Terroir, das überwiegend mit Cabernet Sauvignon (70%) bepflanzt ist, von denen einige Rebstöcke über 100 Jahre alt sind. Nach einer parzellenweisen Weinbearbeitung, bei der in 28 Tanks die besten Partien isoliert werden, dauert der Ausbau 18 Monate (ca. 50% neues Holz). Château Branaire-Ducru ist ein feiner und komplexer Wein.

Branaire-Ducru affiche un caractère linéaire et précis. Tout est bien en place dans ce vin. Le bouquet révèle des nuances de garrigues, de réglisse et de baies rouges, donc un fil rouge axé sur la fraîcheur. Bien soutenu par des tannins veloutés, le vin est élégant, fin tout en disposant d'une certaine largeur.
